Distribution: Breeds in siberia from Yenisey basin eastwards to Kamchatka. It is a migratory species wintering in Japan, sourth Korea, and eastern China.
Captivity Status: Very rare in Canada. Easly kept species, but difficult to breed.

Description:
Similar disposition to the Green Wing Teal. Is compatible with other species, but care must be given not to keep with larger more aggressive species.
The will breed and color within there first year. They prefer nesting in tall grass, rarely accepting any nest box.
